About

Power Construction Group was originally formed in 1999 as Power Test. Four partners with engineering and management backgrounds started with the idea of providing engineering, electrical testing, and substation construction services.

In early 2004 an opportunity came along to merge our testing and engineering services with American Electrical Testing. After the sale of the testing side of the company, we became focused on substation construction and medium voltage electrical construction with engineering leadership at the helm.

Over the years we have worked with rural electric companies, municipalities, electrical contractors, and numerous industrial and institutional facilities, such as the VA Hospital, prison systems, universities, steel mills and automotive manufacturing plants. Power Construction Group has completed substation projects for many municipally owned electric companies, including City of Richmond, City of Fort Wayne, City of Greendale, Anderson Power and Light as well as many other members of Indiana Municipal Power Agency. We have worked closely with rural electric companies in Indiana, Ohio, and many members of Wabash Valley Power Alliance. Power Construction Group has taken on government projects in places as far away as Nevada and South Dakota but has primarily maintained close relationships with customers in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan.

As we continue to grow, we have an eye to the future. Consumer and commercial demand for power is higher than ever and shows no signs of receding as communities integrate smart technologies, prepare for EV charging, and supplement demand with solar parks and wind farms. It’s all good for our business and we are eager to rise to the occasion. If you’re looking for a place to start a career or continue your career, we probably have a spot for you.
